La Fiesta de Granada - La Feria
This week in Granada, everyone is celebrating the week of summer celebration. It’s called “la feria” (the fair) and it’s basically like a week-long party full of carnival rides, stands with food, balloons, and decorations all over the city. Tonight I am going to this fair and I’m really excited to see what it’s like! It will be a long night though - supposedly, everyone that goes to this fair stays out until the dawn :)
Tomorrow I am off to Sevilla, Spain for the day… which is actually en route to LAGOS, PORTUGAL which is doubly exciting! We are spending all of Thursday in Sevilla and seeing the town, staying in a hostel that night, and taking another bus to Lagos on Friday morning. Lying on the beach a lot of the day and seeing the sights around town will be a great trip. I’m really hoping I don’t burn… it’s really not my goal to come back to Granada on Sunday night looking like a lobster.
Next week I already have a presentation in my oral spanish class and a quiz in my Spanish culture class. I keep forgetting I’m here to actually take classes for credit, haha… don’t worry though, I do my homework and study! It’s just so easy to get distracted by all the activities and events and sights around the city and I sometimes even forget I was in class that morning until I get home and realize I have homework to finish. Gosh darn.
I’ll let you know how my Portugal travels go once I get back!!!
